We are HUGE fans of flop!! We adopted ( formally named mimosa) - now named peanut! Our Mohawk terrier mystery mix pup in March of 2021. Peanut has brought so much joy and unconditional love to our lives. Flop the rescue took such good care of her when we adopted her and I was so thankful she had the opportunity to be in an environment like that. The amount of care flop does to vet adoptions, and respond to applications, and run their Facebook is amazing. We are forever grateful to know the unconditional love of peanut, who sneaks into our bed when we fall asleep each night… and who are we to kick her out? For she deserves it. Thank you flop for all you do.

For the Love of Poodles and Pooches Rescue of Richmond, Virginia was founded in 2013 in memory of Callie and O'Brien, our founder's beloved toy poodles. Our goal is to provide compassionate care for our dogs while they are with us and to find them loving, forever homes. We were founded with the belief that each one of us can make a difference in the world, one rescued dog at a time. Our rescue has grown and now helps small to mid-sized dog of all breeds and mixes. Most of our dogs have had a rough start in life and we do everything we can to make sure they have a wonderful life. We start by making sure all of our rescues have whatever medical attention they need. We make sure every dog is spayed or neutered prior to adoption in order to ensure we are doing our part to reduce unwanted litters.

SCGSR is a 501(c)3 Charity, EIN: 20-5500458 – Donate with Confidence. Founded in August 2006, SCGSR consists of a dedicated team of volunteers. SCGSR rescues, rehabilitates, provides spay/neuter and veterinary care, and re-homes pets in Southern California. SCGSR has rescued and placed over 900 animals. Our rescues include German Shepherds, Great Danes, Poodles, many mixed breeds, cats and kittens, a chicken, and even a boa constrictor. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in San Diego County, we are funded through tax-deductible donations from adopters and individuals like you who care about the fate of these magnificent companions. Unlike larger organizations and humane societies, SCGSR has no paid or compensated volunteers or employees, allowing your donation dollars to go further in providing care for needy animals. We do not maintain an expensive facility, but instead are foster-based. SCGSR specializes in helping ill and unadoptable abandoned pets regain their health and placing them in caring, loving forever homes. Together, we can envision a day when companion animals will no longer face inhumane treatment, abandonment or perish in shelters.

We are a group of volunteers who rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for more than 140 poodles and poodle mixes each year. Serving Northern California, we rescue and adopt standard, miniature and toy poodles, as well as poodle mixes. We respond to county shelters, humane societies, and individuals via our website and phone hotline. Each poodle is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and groomed before adoption. In addition, we provide extensive medical care, fostering, boarding and training if needed before placement. We have a return policy in the event that a poodle adoption doesn't work out. We are always grateful for your donations; 97% of all donations are dedicated to our poodles. As we are an all-volunteer organization we incur only 3% administrative cost. The generous gift of time by our volunteers, support and services by pet care businesses, and your tax-deductible donations make this work possible. NorCal Poodle Rescue is an Adoption Guarantee Organization: We rehabilitate and re-home all healthy and treatable animals in our care and reserve euthanasia only for unhealthy and untreatable animals in extreme cases, such as those who bite or with unmanageable medical conditions. NCPR honors the definitions of healthy and treatable as described by the Asilomar Accords.

    Poodle

A non-profit group of poodle lovers founded in 2013 desiring to promote and protect poodles in the Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, tri-state area through four areas: community, education, performance, and rescue/re-homing. Community: We’re building a network of local people that can share their love and enthusiasm for the breed with each other. It’s a great way for those with more experience to help those newer to the breed and for all lovers of poodles to enrich the lives of each other and each other’s poodles. Education: We’re hosting and encouraging participation at a variety of workshops and have had a number of outreach education opportunities in the area. Performance: Not only are things like agility, obedience, conformation, etcetera great fun, they are tremendous tools for the building of stronger bonds and communication between people and their poodles. It also demonstrates to us, the general public, and even to our poodles of what the poodle is capable. Finally, performance activities help maintain the breed and breed standard by promoting what a poodle should be able to do. As a club, we’re building support for performance activities by collectively attending shows, holding each other accountable in our training, and supporting opportunities for competition in our local area. Rescue/Re-homing: There are few breed specific, poodle rescues in middle-America and none covering our area—until us. We are networking with other groups to help smooth the transitions of poodles needing re-homing. Our rescue efforts use a foster network catering specifically to the unique characteristics of poodles to give them the best chance at making their next homes their forever homes.

Thousand Oaks, California has been a safe haven for Sniffspot host, Jen, since childhood. Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
