Rico Pet Recovery is a nonprofit group dedicated to lost pet recovery in the Central Ohio area.
Through donations and our volunteer network, we have successfully trapped and returned hundreds of family pets to their homes, all at no cost to the pet owner. Some are lost from owners, but many are abandoned and scared, strayed, injured and forgotten.

"Rico helps so many animals. Animals that have been turned away, or nobody else will take, they somehow find a way. They are such an amazing organization and I have seen over and over how much they do to make sure everyone is happy, healthy and safe!"

"This rescue works day and night to help dogs and cats in need. The volunteers are some of the most compassionate people I've met. They help families find lost dogs, save starving puppies, and even give dog food to those in need."

"During COVID, it was very hard to get appointments with the vet. So when one of our farm dogs got pregnant I contacted one of rico's volunteers and because of her generosity, the puppies were promised to a rescue before they were even born. These are some of the hardest working animal volunteers that i've ever known. They give so much of their time and their own money, blood, sweat and tears. They deserve so much recognition for what they do."

"Our dogs from Rico have been such amazing dogs. We have adopted 2. Our family decided to foster puppies and we had such an amazing experience we have not stopped . Rico has been so helpful and amazing at getting the dogs vetted and placed in loving homes. The work that Rico does to help people recover lost pets is remarkable. It is such an honor to volunteer with so many great individual foster/rescuers."

"Endless work saving helpless animals, rehoming the unwanted, vetting those who others felt could fend for themselves.
I will do to use to give to RICO and volunteer anytime I can. They are dependable, wholehearted animal lovers and will stop at nothing to save another lost soul"

"I have fostered close to 30 dogs now for Rico and I adopted the first dog I fostered. Rico serves an economically depressed area in Southern Ohio. They rescue dogs that are literally thrown out with the trash or from moving cars, dumped in alleys or in the woods, or tied outside to die. Dogs are vetted and placed in loving foster homes before being adopted. The folks at Rico are all volunteers and are truly miracle workers!"

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
