Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Shoreview, MN

This is our second visit to this SniffSpot and it was great! My dog has an injured foot so we can't go for long walks or play, so I wanted her to walk around and sniff all the sniffs for the mental stimulation 😀

Back for another fun visit. My dogs love sniffing here. Neighbor’s dogs were out and barked at mine for a good chunk of the time, especially when mine were playing with each other. It disrupted their play. We’ve been here before, so I knew what to expect with those dogs (one black doodle approx 30-40lb and a scruffy something mix?? maybe 10-15lbs) - one of my dogs is more than 2x the doodle size so they stay away with one big bark from mine. My dogs are reactive so it’s an opportunity for us to work on training/desensitizing. The neighbor doesn’t recall her dogs when they’re barking at the fence which is rather annoying, but that’s not the host’s responsibility or fault. It’s not the best space for a decompressing/relaxing visit if your dogs lose their minds at the sight of other dogs. But great for training if you’re at a point where your dogs can handle seeing other dogs, or great for friendly dogs!

This was our first experience at a SniffSpot and we had a great time!! Being able to see my dog run free and fast was such a delight and made me so happy that people are willing to share their fenced in back yards with us who do not have the same! We will be back and enjoy your backyard again! Thank you!

My dogs had an absolutely blast at this sniffspot! Lots of different types of terrain to play and sniff, obstacles to run and chase each other around (shed, play set, trees,) a hill to run up and down, and toys to play with. There were critter holes around the fence line and near the house that they enjoyed sniffing. Lots of room to rip around and the yard was clean. About halfway through our visit, the neighbor’s dogs came outside and approached the fence line. Unfortunately, one of my dogs is very fear reactive, charged and barked in the poor thing’s face and scared them. The neighbor didn’t say anything or call their dog, the dog just backed away from the fence on its own and stayed 15ft+ away for the rest of the visit. My fear reactive dog is okay with dogs being in visual distance, but goes ballistic if they can touch his face due to a history of being bitten, so I feel bad he barked at her dogs like that. I didn’t know there would be dogs that close. It ended up being really good for trigger exposure once the dogs stayed away from the fence line. I would take this into account if you have aggressive or reactive dogs that cannot tolerate seeing another dog(s) that closely. Overall it was a lovely visit and we would love to come back!
